Sponsorship Opportunities
On behalf of Children’s Cancer Lifeline, we are seeking sponsorship or
in-kind donations for our upcoming golf tournament. Swing for Kids
Cancer will be hosted by Bear Creek Golf and Country Club on
in the Spring of 2007 - Dates TBA.
The Swing for Kids Cancer Tournament benefits our Outreach Family
Fund. Since September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness
Month, what better way to acknowledge childhood cancer awareness
than with our first of many annual golf tournaments.
In the U.S., cancer remains responsible for more childhood deaths in
one year than any other disease. The mortality rate is higher than asthma,
diabetes, cystic fibrosis and AIDS combined.
There are more children being treated for childhood cancer in the
Puget Sound area than in any other state. More than 380 local families
have children newly diagnosed with some type of childhood cancer, and
are currently being treated in Puget Sound area hospitals each year.
1,200+ families are on a 2 1/2 year long treatment plan and 5000+
families have childhood cancer survivors under the age of 18.
Beneficiaries of Children’s Cancer Lifeline’s programs include Puget
Sound-area residents and families from throughout the Northwestern
United States who come to Western Washington seeking the latest
treatments for their children. Children’s Cancer Lifeline also provides
ongoing support to childhood cancer survivors, their families and to
bereaved families.
Children’s Cancer Lifeline is a one of a kind unique organization. There
are many organizations in the Puget Sound area that offer support,
however none have such a direct impact on helping childhood cancer
families with the programs our organization offers.
